Promoting Art and Culture through Media Technologies

MTPC has been actively promoting art and cultural activities on campus through media technologies. Recently, we participated in Library exhibitions such as “Yi – Aurora Photography” and “Between Europe and Asia: Traditional Music and Costumes from Central Asia, Caucasus and the Middle East” by helping to curate multimedia content and display technologies to enrich the viewing experiences of these exhibitions.

The Center also collaborated with Public Affairs Office (PAO) to introduce state-of-the-art facilities in the new HKUST Shaw Auditorium through the “Spark of Inspiration Exhibition @ Atrium” and assisted in the design of the Auditorium’s website. To engage students in the Auditorium’s activities, we organized the “Student Stage Trainee Program” for students who are interested in stage management, sound, and lighting design, recruiting them as student helpers to support performances in the Auditorium.

HKUST 30th Anniversary Logo and User Guides

Designed by MTPC based on the inputs from different stakeholders, the HKUST 30th Anniversary Logo (30A Logo) is now available for download from the HKUST logo website. Graphic files for digital and print media are ready for application on websites, stationery and promotional items. A user guide has also been developed to show how different versions of the 30A Logo can be applied in various situations. Users are welcome to contact the Design Team to discuss how the 30A logo can be used for 30A publicity.
